The Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver’s Grand Diploma is the most prestigious pastry education at our school. It combines a total of 272 hours of learning and is respected across the culinary and pastry industry in Vancouver, British Columbia and beyond. It combines the most in-depth and varied pastry education available in Western Canada. Classes are taught in a maximum 12-1 student / Instructor ratio with a very hands-on approach to learning the fundamentals of baking to fulfill your ambitions and pursue the dream of a pastry career.

The Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver was founded in 2009 by fourth-generation and German born Master Pastry Chef Marco Röpke. With over 30 years of experience as pastry chef and Provincial Instructor Diploma Chef Marco is teaching currently the complete curriculum for our courses.

We try to acknowledge your registration by email or phone within 48 hours and will follow up with information about availability, confirm your registration, and payment options.

Payment is due at time of registration and can be made by phone using Visa or MasterCard, E-transfer or in person with cash, credit or debit.

Please do bear in mind that your spot in class is only guaranteed once we have received the payment for your course in full.

Pre-requisites:

Students who are admitted to Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver must meet the following pre-requisites:
1.  Ability to read, write and communicate in English
2.  Students whose native language is not English are required to provide proof of English proficiency
(e.g., TOEFL or other English proficiency assessment) prior to admission
3.  Graduation from Grade 12 (or equivalent) and minimum age  (19+)
4.  Admission interview is required for International Student
5.  International Students must obtain their visa before registering

Tuition Fees:

  • Professional Pastry Training Certificate Program (80 hours):

         Total: $2560.00 plus 5% GST

Price includes Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver Chef jacket and apron.
This Professional Pastry Training Certificate Program can only be taken as a full series.
Changing course dates will not be accepted for the term.

You will receive A Certificate of Completion.


  • Professional Artisan Bread Baking Course: $285.00 plus GST

  • Professional Artisan Bread Baking Certificate Program (64 hours)

        Total: 2288.00 (tax included)

  • Professional Cake Decorating Certificate Program (64 hours):

This Professional Cake Decorating Certificate Program can only be taken as a full series.

You will receive A Certificate of Completion.


  • Full Time (part time) Grand Diploma Program:

You will receive A Grand Diploma when you complete the following:

  1. Professional Artisan Bread Baking Program
  2. Professional Cake Decorating Program
  3. Professional Chocolate Diploma Program
  4. Professional Pastry Training Program

DISMISSAL / TERMINATION

Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver reserves the right to dismissal / terminate a student’s enrollment at any time if demanded discontinue to the condition of our courses. Tardiness (frequently late, no shows); neglected in following the code of conduct; inappropriate or unsafe dress code for class; disrespect shown to our instructors or any staff member or a general unfriendly and unprofessional attitude. No refund will be given.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING

Students agree that photographs; videos; artwork or other works; as well as recorded or written testimonials; may be used, stored or transferred internationally by Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver for promotional purposes including printed and online marketing materials and on any social media network without further consent or notification. If students do not wish to participate, Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver will respect their wishes but it is the student’s responsibility to absent themselves from the photograph/video.

HEALTH DECLARATION

Students must report any mental or physical illness, allergy, disability or condition that may interfere with their ability to successfully complete their program that may impact the wellbeing of any other student or staff member. Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrolment if the student’s participation represents a risk to their other students or staff member’s health and safety.
